George W. Goffe
George W. Goffe was a storekeeper in Bedford during the 19th century. He was the son of John Goffe and Jane Riddle. He married Hannah Tisdale and had multiple children. He was a descendant to Major John Goffe for whom Gofftstown is named for. George W. Goffe was appointed ensign in 1849, and later as a representative of Bedford to the state in 1871 and 1876.
